Food Glorious Food!

Growing up I never really cooked. I'd bake once or twice a year (including every February for the school Festival du Voyageur baking competition!) but it wasn't until I was grown that I started to get more interested in cooking.

Now, I LOVE to cook, bake, grill, simmer, fry, poach, saute, boil and eat!

Mostly I just throw stuff in. Generally it turns out. Sometimes it doesn't! I do follow recipes as well. Especially for baking. But my favourite recipes are the ones I just know, the ones I've made a million times.

Anyway, here are some of my successes!

Cupcakes with pink icing. Need I say more?

Actually yes, I do. The recipe I use for cake is the easiest recipe EVER. I got it from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall (well, not personally from him, it was in a newspaper)

New Year's Day Feast!
Mmmmmm-mexican! Featuring homemade tortillas!
Homemade bramble jam
Bramble jam and fresh bread. I have no idea why this is upside down. It's still delicious!!
